Kitchen-Carport,around &'about the house'

This involved the extension to the rear of a victorian terraced house which had an existing garage on to a rear laneway.Douglas fir clads the storage bench & floor to the dining room with a new opening to an outside court, where the sheeting forms a deck and folds to form the carport roofing running to the lane way.The cladding returns to form the ceiling of the kitchen, in turn providing a storage shelf to the carport and 'trellis' to another outside court. A sliding door allows this court to be separated from the carport. Rubber floor tiles are used throughout the kitchen and carport.This extension was featured on RTE's 'about the house' programme.
